Plas Issa Farm… (A peaceful rural setting with a choice of natural pitches)
🌄 Where would you like to stay at Plas Issa?
Plas Issa is a long‑established Welsh farmstead with naturally varied landscapes, each offering a different style of stay. Guests often choose their pitch based on the atmosphere they prefer, so here’s a quick guide to help you pick the right area.
✨ Hilltop Panoramic Pitches
For guests who book for: big views, open skies, sunrise colours, peace and a sense of escape.
These elevated pitches offer sweeping valley scenery and a spacious, airy feel. You’re still only a short stroll from the facilities, but far enough to feel tucked away and connected to the landscape. Ideal for tents, roof tents and campervans wanting that “top‑of‑the‑hill” experience.
🌿 Brookside & Chestnut Bank
Chestnut Bank also features a small natural pond fed by the stream, with a reed bed and abundant wildlife — a peaceful habitat area that adds to the field’s character.
Chestnut Bank includes optional electric hookups, while Brookside remains a peaceful, non‑electric area.
For guests who book for: atmosphere, trees, water, evening ambience and a more intimate setting.
Brookside sits beside the stream with natural shade, festoon lighting and a calm, scenic feel — perfect for relaxed evenings and sheltered stays.
Chestnut Bank, just above it, offers a gently elevated, tree‑lined setting with a warm, enclosed atmosphere. This field is also used as our ceremonial wedding area from July to late August, giving it a naturally special feel.
🌾 Barnside Meadow
For guests who book for: space, simplicity, level ground and a relaxed, open field atmosphere.
Barnside Meadow is a wide, open meadow with both generous spaces and smaller level spots. Views here are pleasant and rural, though not as expansive as the hilltop or as tree‑framed as Chestnut Bank. It’s a great choice for guests who enjoy a natural, unfussy field with plenty of room to spread out.
This area is non‑electric.
🚐 Barnside & Farmyard Pitches
For guests who book for: easy access, level ground, close facilities, reliable electric and campervan practicality.
These level, easy‑access pitches sit close to the washroom and portaloo block. With firm ground and dependable electric, they’re ideal for campervans, motorhomes and groups who prefer convenience while still enjoying the rural charm of the farmstead.
🌳 Secluded & Private Retreats
(Hedgerow Retreat & Paddock View) For guests who book for: privacy, space, quiet, dog‑friendly boundaries and a near‑sole‑occupancy feel.
Hedgerow Retreat is bordered by natural hedging, creating a calm, enclosed pitch with a private feel — ideal for dogs, couples and anyone wanting peace.
Paddock View offers a spacious, elevated setting with countryside views and room to spread out, perfect for guests seeking a quieter, more exclusive stay.
