Following the dream
Our aspiration has always been to own a property that is surrounded by its own land, with lovely views and interesting areas to explore, yet be easily accessible from the highway and local attractions. After searching for over 15 years, we finally found Plas Issa Farm; NE Wales, hidden treasure!
The farm offers enormous potential to offer an array of activities where people can come and enjoy the tranquility, views and wildlife. Originally purchased for equestrian use, the arrival of Lulah, encouraged us to explore canine adventures to include doggy field hire, canine workshops and canine fayres/dog shows.
We now have planning for 3 good sized dog fields. The main field is surrounded by our own fields for extra security, has a beautiful running stream, adequate shade and a shelter for those colder months. It offers access to a much larger meadow field that also has natural running streams (available for hire of 50 min or more). The third field is currently under construction and will provide an adventure playground and sensory area.
We have now developed pop up camping during the summer months, again offering various fields and locations. EHU available in some zones, tranquil areas for those who enjoy peace and quiet and our chestnut bank that offers more of a social vibe with festoon lights and a communal area.
Due to requests, we now also offer our farm for a small number of events per year. With over 40 acres to choose from, the farm offers a great deal of flexibility and activity opportunities. We also have a number of barns that can be a perfect blank canvas for an indoor experience, yet with access to our fields to bring the outdoors together. Many couples have celebrated their wedding vows with us, enjoying the rustic vibe, superb views and fantastic photo opportunities in our meadow fields and around the wildlife pond with a nestled wooded area. We only offer a small number of weddings per year so pre booking is highly recommended.
